Showdown Summer School
The summer school is a one week course aimed at young people who want to develop their skills in the three disciplines of performing arts, singing, acting and dancing. The students will work as a team learning dance routines and songs from the musicals such as High School Musical, Hairspray, Fame, and Grease. Other classes will include Street Dance and Drama where everyone will have the opportunity to devise their own acting pieces. All the hard work the students put in will result in a final performance to be presented to parents and friends on the final evening.
This is an exciting opportunity for your child to develop themselves as a young performer, whilst building their confidence and making new friends. Whether your child is a beginner or has previous experience, this course will be a fun, enjoyable week for all levels.
When? – We are running two one week course’s 27th - 31st July and 3rd – 7th August 2009. You can pick whichever course suits you best.
What time? – Classes will start at 10am prompt daily and finish at 4pm. On the final day we will finish at 6pm to include the final performance.
Where? - Courses will be based in Guildford, venue to be confirmed.
How much? – The cost of the course is £150 per child with a 10% discount for siblings. This includes at least 30 hours training and learning materials for the week. Packed lunches will not be provided.
